PC Configurator and Builder

Our custom PC builder lets you change any part of the systems below, or start from a bare platform and specify the whole machine yourself. Compatibility is checked as you go, so you cannot pick parts that will not work together.

Every build is assembled by hand and tested here in the UK, dispatched in 6 to 8 working days, and covered by a 3 year warranty as standard. Choose a system below to start from, or one of the fully customisable platforms if you would rather begin from the socket up.

Custom PC builder

Our PC builder lets you start from one of our systems and change any part of it, or specify a machine from the case up. Every combination is checked for compatibility as you go, so you cannot build something that will not work together.

You choose the parts. We build it, test it and ship it.

What to consider when building your PC

The job is matching the parts to what you actually do with the machine, and putting the money where it makes a difference. These are the decisions in the order they matter.

Graphics card

In a gaming build this is where most of the budget should go, because it sets the resolution and frame rate ceiling. An RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT handles 1080p at high settings and stretches to 1440p. An RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT is the sensible entry to 4K. An RTX 5080 or 5090 is for 4K at high refresh rates, or for creative work alongside gaming.

Processor

Current AMD builds use Ryzen processors on the AM5 socket, and the X3D versions carry a larger cache that raises frame rates in games specifically rather than in benchmarks. Current Intel builds use Core Ultra processors on LGA1851, which put more of their strength into work that uses many cores at once, such as rendering, encoding or streaming alongside a game.

Neither is the right answer for everyone. If the machine is mainly for playing, X3D is usually the better buy. If you do other work on it, Core Ultra is worth comparing. Browse AMD gaming PCs and Intel gaming PCs to see how the two compare in finished systems.

Memory

16GB is the working minimum for current games. 32GB is worth having if you stream, record, keep a lot of browser tabs open while playing, or use the machine for editing as well. Going beyond 32GB makes no difference to games.

Storage

Every configurable system uses an NVMe SSD as standard. A single modern game install can pass 150GB, so capacity matters more than it used to. If you keep a large library, a second drive is cheaper per terabyte than sizing the boot drive up.

Cooling and case

A faster processor and graphics card produce more heat, and a system that cannot move it away will slow itself down to stay safe. The case decides how much air you can move and what will physically fit, so it is worth choosing early rather than last. Cases from Corsair, Cooler Master, Tecware, NZXT, Lian Li, Jonsbo, Phanteks and Fractal Design are available in the builder.

How it works

  1. Pick a system below as your starting point, or choose one of the fully customisable platforms if you would rather begin from the socket up
  2. Change any component you want. Incompatible combinations are blocked rather than allowed through
  3. Order it. Our engineers build the machine by hand
  4. It is stress tested for thermal stability and performance before it is boxed

The builder is free to use and you do not need an account to try it.

PC builder FAQs

What is a PC configurator?

An online tool for specifying a computer part by part. You choose the processor, graphics card, memory, storage, cooling and case, and it prices the build and checks the parts work together as you go.

Do I need to know what I am doing?

No. Every system below starts from a working specification, so you can change one or two things and leave the rest. The builder will not let you select parts that are incompatible, so the most common way of getting it wrong is already handled.

Is it free to use?

Yes, and you do not need an account to build a specification.

Is it cheaper than buying the parts separately?

Usually, yes, because we buy components at trade prices. You are also not paying for a build that fails at the first boot, which is the hidden cost of self building.

Who assembles it?

Our own engineers, by hand, at our facility. Nothing is drop shipped from a distributor.

Is the PC tested before it ships?

Yes. Every machine is stress tested for thermal stability and performance consistency before it is packed.

What kind of PC can I build?

Anything from an entry level 1080p machine to a 4K system on an RTX 5090. If you would rather not build at all, our gaming PCs come with a specification already set.

How long will my build take?

Custom systems are built, tested and dispatched in 6 to 8 working days. Express systems are dispatched in 3 to 5 working days. Those are dispatch estimates in working days, not delivery dates.

Is UK delivery free?

Free on qualifying orders. Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands may carry a delivery charge, which is shown at checkout.

Finishing the setup

A fast machine is held back by the things attached to it. A high refresh rate monitor is the upgrade most people notice first, followed by a mechanical keyboard and a mouse that suits how you hold it. Our gaming accessories range covers monitors, keyboards, mice and headsets.

Not sure where to start?

Our CPU buyer guide and motherboard buyer guide cover the two decisions everything else follows from. Or browse all gaming PCs if you would rather start from a finished system and change it from there.
