Ukrainian developer GSG Game World have revealed their latest blood soaked trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

The 'Come to Me' clip demonstrates the meticulously detailed character models, seamless transitions between cinematics and gameplay as well as first person shooter carnage.

This latest trailer gives us a glimpse into the story, whereby you will set out into the treacherous Chornobyl exclusion zone in search valuable artefacts and of the truth behind ''The Noosphere'' - the earths information field. In doing so you must negotiate the various factions spread across the zone and lay waste to the mutated 'anomalies' in your way.

'Come to Me' also confirms a 2023 release date. The game will be released day one on PC Game Pass. Or you can own the game over at the Steam Store. Check out the trailer in full below.

The launch of the latest generation of gaming has brought with it difficult times. Global lockdowns have led to hardware shortages as well as persistent delays for highly anticipated titles.

For GSG Game World, the much awaited follow up to S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat (2009) has been pushed back again and again. Originally pencilled for release in 2012, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been through many development issues including significant staff layoffs, covid related setbacks and of course the ongoing war in Europe.

Despite the delays, the offering looks to be well worth the wait. The new entry to the series takes full advantage of Unreal Engine 5, which is showcased in the trailer with phenomenal textures, lighting and animations.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was included in our 2023 in Gaming post alongside other upcoming titles.
