Computer Repair Technician - IT Maintenance Support

 You will be responsible for receipt, processing, diagnosis and repair of customer returns.

 You will follow company procedures regarding receipt, evaluation, testing, repair and proper disposition of the system both systematically and physically. You will also work closely with Customer Care and Quality Control teams for root cause analysis and customer updates. Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to system transactions, preparation and shipment of faulty components to the supplier. This position will be required to support overtime at peak periods as requested.

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, test, and repair customer returned products to component level
  • Read and understand fault descriptions, liaise with other departments and customers to assess the issue with IT system
  • diagnose problems, including problem identification, research of problem, isolation of issue, and completion of resolution
  • Integration of new hardware within IT systems and ensuring stability and compatibility within the system
  • Test, repair and integration of operating systems including software installation, driver updates and stress testing
  • Understand operational requirements and be able to identify and correct problems or inconsistencies.
  • Support other departments within company as required

 KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally the candidate should have proven experience as computer technician or similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • A keen eye for detail is a must
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Particularly good communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills

 Minimum wage salary.

 37.5 hrs per week plus overtime / Looking to start as soon as possible

Liquid Cooling and Specialist PC Builder

You will be responsible for building, designing and creating concepts for High-End Liquid Cooled systems. As well as the receipt, diagnosis and repair of liquid cooled customer returns working alongside the RMA Team.

 You will follow company procedures regarding evaluation, testing, repair and proper disposition of the system both systematically and physically. You will also work closely with production, purchasing and Quality Control teams.Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to generating quotations, preparation and shipment. This position will be required to support overtime at peak periods as requested.

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, design & spec high end Liquid cooled systems with unique attractive aesthetics.
  • Liaise with customer care on fault descriptions, and with other departments such as stock control and production.
  • Research new parts and build requirements and liaise with your manager and purchasing manager on acquiring and controlling relevant stock.
  • Monitor your own stock containing watercooling parts amongst others such as vinyl & paint equipment etc. As well as conducting the stock take of these parts when required.
  • Generate new ideas and basic graphic design / concept generation for any new builds.
  • Understand operational requirements and be able to identify and correct problems or inconsistencies with spec and compatibility.
  • Conduct review checks to make sure systems are up to a premium high quality standard on all loops in production.
  • Support other departments within company as required

  KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally the candidate should have proven experience as a computer technician or similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
  • Experience with design, in Adobe & Autodesk software is desirable 
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and compatibility
  • A keen eye for detail is a must
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • Experience with building custom PC’s with custom liquid cooling loops
